Mark your calendar for Saturday April 29th to attend the Nakkertok Spring Meeting and the Spring Clean-up Day.

Spring Clean-Up Day 9:00 AM – 12:00 and 1:00 – 3:00 PM Nakkertok South Spring Cleanup

Please note that the Nakkertok South Spring Cleanup Day will run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday April 29th. The 12:00 – 1:00 PM timeslot is set aside so that participants can also attend the Board Spring Membership Update.

The day will focus on completing a number of year-end tasks including:

* General clean-up of grounds and buildings

* Clean and sort out the lost and found

* Cut, split and pile firewood for next season

* Move equipment to their summer locations

* Fix innumerable items

Please bring your lunch, snacks and water.

Come dressed complete with gloves for the work and the weather.

Bring your chainsaw, axe, maul, loppers, or other equipment which may prove useful for your task. Please send a note to trails@nakkertok.ca if you are able to participate in the workday.



Nakkertok Seeks Candidates for the 2017/2018 Board of Directors

Are you passionate about Nakkertok? Are you interested in helping to shape the future evolution and growth of Canada’s #1 cross-country ski club? Each year roughly  half of 14 positions on the Nakkertok Board of Directors comes up for renewal and a slate of candidates is voted in at the Fall AGM.

For 2017/2018 the Board is specifically recruiting a new President and Treasurer. There are also openings for Vice President, Fundraising, Adventure Program Representation, and Nakkertok Competitive Events Coordinator.

If you are interested, i) consider coming out to the Spring Member’s meeting (Saturday April 29th at Nakkertok South) to meet and talk with the Board and/or ii) contact the Board via donald.sproule@gmail.com.
