UPDATE: Registration news and Covid-19 Plan

Registration is now open until 21:00 tonight, 12 March 2020. To register on zone4, click here.

We desperately need volunteers to run our race. If you are signing up your skiers at the last minute, please sign yourself up on iVolunteer: https://nakkertok.ivolunteer.com/theas2020.

We have in place a Covid-19 plan and ask skiers and their families to comply with the following requests:

  1. We strongly recommend that any person (or family member of a person) who has travelled internationally in the previous 14 days not attend the event, or self-isolate during the event except for his/her individual races.
  2. Any athlete or supporter with a fever and/or cough with upper respiratory symptoms should not race and should not attend the venue.
  3. We urge all participants to bring their own hand sanitizer and use it often.
  4. Nakkertok will have hand sanitizer on site in washrooms and in the Chalet, but please recognize our supply is limited.
  5. We urge all athletes not to share food or drink with teammates.
  6. We recommend all athletes avoid congregating in large groups inside our Chalet. They will be encouraged to have a recovery ski around our trails or find a viewing location on the course to cheer the racers.

Earlier Post

Thea’s Race commemorates the contribution made to Nakkertok and women’s sports by Thea Holloway, a founding member and past-president of the club. This year we are offering a weekend of racing and beautiful spring skiing. Saturday will feature classic technique sprints and a prologue. Sunday will feature distance free technique mass start races.

Competitive skiers will enjoy a tune-up before the National Championships. There will be NCD races both days for all categories from U8. Saturday will include a fast and female fun 2-person relay where mother- daughter teams and costumes are encouraged. Sunday will have both an open and fun distance event for skiers of all abilities.

We hope to see you there!

We also need volunteers for both race days as well as the Friday. Volunteer for a few hours or for the entire three days. If you cannot make the weekend, please recommend those who could. Find a role and sign up here: https://nakkertok.ivolunteer.com/theas2020.
