Learn-to-ski Program

Learn-to-ski Program 2017-02-27T16:15:34-05:00

Nakkertok’s family-oriented Learn-to-Ski Program has been the foundation of the club for over 30 years!  The majority of our members joined because they wanted their children to take cross-country ski lesions in a fun, family atmosphere.

The Bunnyrabbit and Jackrabbit programs, created by Cross Country Canada, have developed excellent skiing fundamentals in thousands of people across the country. Some of Canada’s best racers and marathon skiers were and are from our club!

Our fall dryland Mud Monster program starts the first weekend after Thanksgiving for 9 consecutive weeks (October to December). Lessons in the fall are available at Nakkertok South on Sundays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

Our winter on-snow Bunnyrabbit and Jackrabbit programs start the first weekend after New Year’s for 9 consecutive weeks (January to March). Lessons in the winter are available at Nakkertok South on:

  • Saturdays from 10am to 12pm, or
  • Saturdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, or
  • Sundays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

and at Nakkertok Val-des-Monts on:

  • Sundays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Due to the success of the program, we have a difficult job finding enough volunteer coaches to maintain our desired instructor-to-student ratio. With this in mind, we hope you will understand our policy of requesting parents to act as lead or assistant coaches–whether or not they have paid fees in lieu of co-op commitment or have done other co-op duties.

Please contact us at learn-to-ski@nakkertok.ca with any questions you have!
