Favourite snack of all time? Granola and yogurt
Worst training experience ever? I stand by what I wrote last year, ski walking in Wisconsin when the black flies were so thick you could barely see in front of you. Although tearing my ACL during Ultimate is up there…but that wasn’t part of training; that was for fun.
If you were a Harry Potter character, who would you be? Dobby or the Trolley Witch.
Favourite race course/location? Blow Me Down Nordic, Cornerbrook Newfoundland.
Do you want to climb Mt. Everest? Ask me again when I can walk up and down stairs properly. Right now that would be a no.
Double poling or striding? By the end of this year, I’ll be the Queen of both.
Worst pre-race food consumed? Bacon.
Most impressive teammate you’ve been around, and why? PVW. I’ve been on the same team as Pat since I was 10 or 11 and he’s pretty incredible. Each year he gets better and better. He’s super dedicated to what he’s doing and he’s managed to balance a full time course load in engineering, while working, training and still being a major part of both Nakkertok and the Carleton Ski Team. He also has some brilliantly timed puns.
Best race experience? Sprint quarterfinal at Trials last year. It was the first time in almost a year that I felt like myself on skis again.
What inspires you most? That’s hard to pinpoint right now. But probably my team. Whenever I feel down lately, I watch the Nakkertok videos and those get me pretty pumped!
Facebook/Snapchat/Instagram/Twitter? Do I have to choose?
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Granola and yogurt.
Sundby or Johaug? Jessie Diggins
Best training experiences ever? Anything I did in Whitehorse.
If you had to compete in a summer Olympic sport, what would it be? Mountain Biking
Hardest workout completed, and why? Lake Placid track workout. You’ve probably read about it on other people’s bios by now, so I don’t need to explain further.
What movie have you watched the most number of times in your life? Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Book you’re reading right now? Does my Cognitive Psychology textbook count?
What is the most epic workout you’ve ever done? By definition an epic is a long poem narrating the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures. So definitely backpacking through the Adirondacks with Em, Kat, Claire and Zoe.
Bowling or mini-golf? Mini Golf
