Nakkertok’s annual family fun race takes place on Boxing Day, December 26th. Organized by ENRG, the Burnoff is a three person free technique relay with prizes for fastest team and for best costumes.
Organizers will endeavour to trackset a classic lane for those who prefer it. Registration typically opens on Zone4 just before Christmas. More details in the seasonally appropriate race notice (see below).
Race Format: Three Person Relay. Team up with two other people of any age/gender, and then pick your category: Fast or Faster. Each person does 2-3 laps of the course. Races will not be timed. Start: Self-seeded and mass start.
Categories: Fast: 1.2km (approximately) course. Each member on the team does two loop sof course. Faster: 1.2km (approximately) course. Each person on the team does three loops of course.
Technique: Freestyle. An attempt will be made to groom one classic track on both courses.
Who: Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you’ve raced before or only ever watched your kids race.
When: Boxing Day, December 26th. Please be there early to pick up your bibs. The Fast race starts first, then the Faster race. An awards ceremony will follow the end of the last race.
