Nakkertok Adventure Race 2026

This is a ski-orienteering event, where the goal is to collect points while navigating Nakkertok South’s beautiful ski trails.

 Event Schedule

Check‑In at the Chalet 

  • 12:45–1:30 pm — Check in & timing card pick‑up

Race Start Windows

  • 1:15–1:30 pm — Adventure & ParaNordic, Racing/Mini Rabbits start
  • 1:30–1:45 pm — Learn‑To‑Ski, Individual teams start 
  • Teams must return within 90 minutes of their start time. 
  • 2:45–4:00 pm — Bake sale & refreshments – donations appreciated. 
    Bring a plate/mug for all of the goodies. 

 Registration 

  • Pay what you can with a suggested donation of $20 per participant (all funds going to Nakkertok) 
  • E‑transfer: treasurer@nakkertok.ca (note: “Adventure Race” in the subject)
  • Cash also accepted on site 
  • Please have one coach per team fill out the registration form prior to the event.  

 What to Bring

  • Skis 
  • Snacks & beverages for the course
  • At least one timing device per team
  • Warm layers for winter conditions
  • Compass

 How It Works 

  • Teams receive a SPORTident timing card to punch at each checkpoint
  • Maps and instructions provided at the timing hut at start time
  • Teams must stay together throughout the race
  • Punch out at the finish, then return to check‑in at the Chalet to download timing data and return the card
  •  Nakkertok Ski Patrol volunteers will be on site to provide first aid assistance if required during the event. 

 Scoring

  • 10 points per control
  • 5‑point penalty per minute after the 90‑minute limit
