Dear Nakkertok Members,

As many of you know, Ontario has announced a province wide shutdown that includes prohibiting travel outside of Ontario. To respond to these new restrictions, the Nakkertok board has decided the following:

  • All Nakkertok programs, including Racing, Adventure, Ski4Life and LTS, will be suspended for in person sessions for all Ontario based athletes. This is in compliance with a recent XCSO directive. Quebec athletes will be permitted to continue to participate in Nakkertok programs, if coaching resources are available.
  • All events, including the Boxing Day Burnoff and virtual race events will be suspended until further notice.
  • Nakkertok trails, including Nakkertrak, will continue to be open and operate. Members will continue to be required to book time on the Nakkertrak. Nakkertok members are encouraged to follow Ontario health guidelines.
Nakkertok will continue to follow local health guidelines and monitor changing conditions. As guidelines are updated, we will provide updates as required. We do intend to continue our programs once the Ontario restrictions are lifted.

Temporary Nakkertak closure

One final notice, due to the heavy rainfall Nakkertrak will be closed December 24 at noon. Depending on weather conditions, it will reopen sometime after 9 am on December 25. Watch for updates on the Nakkertok social media channels.

We wish everyone a happy holiday and Merry Christmas.

Regards,

Ian Skerrett
